Shonda Rhimes gave Architectural Digest a tour of her sumptuous New York apartment. It’s luxurious and ornate, nothing like the structured minimalism that is so prevalent in celebrity décor right now. In the story by Emil Wilbekinthere’s a lot of detail on influences from Bridgerton to Mike Nichols and Diane Sawyer. Her home is filled with work from Black artists, with nooks for her to work and write. Shonda works really, really f-cking hard to entertain us, and seeing how she invests in herself and her family feels much more personal than many of the other home features.

I’ve seen a lot of celebrity spon-con over the years, everything from pregnancy tests to kitty litter, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen religion mixed in until now, with Denise Richards’s lent app post. There’s even a 40 day challenge.

Paulina Gretzky’s bachelorette party looked exactly how we’d expect: private jet, island, lots of balloons, matching cowboy hats and pink outfits, and penis puns. It’s a very different world than most and, even by influencer standards (she’s not an influencer, just rich), unironically basic. The whole vibe is so blank and generic and the only thing I know about her is that she loves her Hermes belt. Her Instagram gives nothing away, not even her hobbies. Does she play Wordle? Has she watched Euphoria? Canadians might remember that at one point she was, I think, trying to become a singer? Whatever happened with that? She should join Real Housewives when Dustin retires.

There is a lot of ongoing debate about how Pamela Anderson was portrayed in the Hulu series Pam & Tommy and whether or not this kind of retelling is a different form of exploiting her while putting a redemption bow on it for the audience. (This review by Rachel Rabbit White in Vulture is very interesting.) Netflix is tackling a Pamela Anderson documentary that will be, in her words, the real story. (Oh and she’s getting divorced again and back on Instagram. A lot going on for Pam this year!)

Salma Hayek received the first IMDb STARmeter Award and this is the perfect chance for me to complain about IMDb, which used to be an awesome resource and is now completely unusable. I know I’m not the only one who thinks this way (Sarah: it actively makes my job harder!). Website redesigns are tough to pull off and often unpopular at first but this one is just so frustrating that I’ve stopped using it altogether.

Dua Lipa is being sued by reggae band Artikal Sound System for allegedly copying their song “Live Your Life” for “Levitating”. That song was a monster hit for Dua Lipa and I would think that the band’s lawyers would have reached out to her team to discuss compensation before filing the lawsuit. Dua also recently fired her long-time managers… is the timing coincidental?
