Lainey and Duana will take you through the Chrissy Teigen/Alison Roman drama on Show Your Work – there’s a lot to dig into. As for me, I’m keeping an eye on social media to see when Alison comes back (she hasn’t posted on Twitter or Instagram since her apology to Chrissy) and also to see when Chrissy lifts her lockdown; she’s turned her Twitter account private. This seems futile for someone with 12 million followers and who is jokingly (but not really) referred to as the Mayor of Twitter, but it’s not just because of Alison, but rather a run-off from the headlines. I won’t get into the madness too much but the trolls focus on an Illuminati-style secret society but with a much darker criminal element tied into Prince Andrew’s dead pedophile friend Jeffrey Epstein. They are so persistent that they may actually succeed in driving every celebrity off the platform one day and, as a business, is Twitter going to deal with it?

Padma Lakshmi is deep into the best part of Game of Thrones. Were we ever so young?

A study of pop culture question for us to consider: what makes Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari’s divorce, a steady source of urgent headlines and snarky chatter on social media, so compelling? As archetypes, she is the mean-girl-turned-mommy and he’s a former QB1 and if you’ve ever watched their show, you know they have negative charisma together. Between that and the anti-vaxxer/vacation during quarantine stuff, they embody every Facebook cliché. My theory is that there’s no one to root for and it kinds of brings us back to the early days of blog gossip when hard eye-rolling was much more acceptable; this is a couple we collectively feel it’s OK to dunk on.

Sh-t, Kumail Nanjiani has a point. How did a generation of incredible women raise people who write “rose all day” on t-shirts.

Mother’s Day is one of the biggest Instagram holidays and full of hot mom throwbacks. Like Goldie. Lainey is right, she’s had the same hair forever and it’s perfect on her.

In late March, Bossip dropped some Diplo baby scoop and they were correct. Very cute baby cheeks. Diplo’s Instagram is either shirtless pics or his sons playing with LEGO, there is no in between.

Future had Mother’s Day wishes for everyone, even Ciara (third one down)!

I think this is the most we’ve seen of Mindy Kaling’s daughter, Katherine. She’s a little person now.

Jemima Kirke paying tribute to her nanny for making her a better mom has of course brought out the comment warriors. People are big mad that she doesn’t like playing with her kids, even though it’s a sentiment shared by many parents. It’s OK to not like the same activities as a child. Making a fort isn’t that magical after the third collapse.
