Meghan Sussex posted a photo for Mother’s Day and it is getting the “rare” headline. She’s also posted at Beyoncé, posted a birthday tribute to Archie, and posted about Harry after his trial. She’s posted in her garden about As Ever and stories about her podcast. It’s a steady lifestyle drip.

So when do the “rare” headlines end? She’s been pretty consistent.

Seeing as we are constantly analysing celebrity brands like Blake Brown and Goop, I thought we should check in on another skin care line, Papatui by The Rock. He hasn’t posted about it on his own grid since March. It’s not necessarily a  bad sign because the brand page is active, he is on there. I have no doubt the marketing arm of his company plans things meticulously and makes it look like he’s just sitting around making videos but this year, he has The Smashing Machine coming out and will be working on a Hawaiian thriller with Martin Scorsese. It seems like this is an artistic growth phase for his career, not a money-making phase so stepping back on the hard sell on his social media aligns with that.

As I noted yesterday, I suspected the surprise Goop podcast guest would be Emma Grede and I was right (rare occasion, I need to point it out). Emma is part of the husband-wife team behind Frame, Skims and other major brands but she’s not a household name and doesn’t seem to want to be. Her press stops are few and far between.

Sarah wrote about the Golden Age of podcasts this morning but you know what burns my biscuit? Why are podcasts now TV shows! The most popular ones have a full studio set up, it’s basically just a casual talk show set.

As of right now, the comments are still on for this podcast post with Ryan Reynolds but that may not last. One funny (not haha funny) misreading of the whole Blake and Ryan situation is that (not very smart) people think they have been blacklisted and lost all of their show business opportunities. This is delusional.

If they don’t show up somewhere, it’s because they don’t want to (e.g. the Met Gala).

Anna Camp and stylist Jade Whipkey have hard-launched on Instagram. Next to an engagement, this is about as hard as a launch gets.
