Charlize Theron has been a Dior woman for what sems like forever and, in the spring, expanded her contract to include jewelry and skin care. She’s been wearing Dior gowns to the Oscars since 2010! That’s why it surprised me to see her in Schiaparelli. 

It’s just exciting to see her in another brand for a change and I would guess the reason she could divert from the project is because this was for a charity event (high profile, but still a charity) and not a red carpet like the Oscars or a film premiere. 

What better way to welcome myself back than to slap down another ridiculous Beckham story in the UK tabloids? This time, it’s that Harper dresses “inappropriately” (the attempted slut shaming is real!) and that David is horrified that Victoria is using her to promote her brand. The brand that has their last name, in a portfolio of brands with their last name, with their multiple businesses catered to various interests in the family? He appears at as many, if not more!, events with Harper than Victoria does. So if Harper wears a Miami jersey, is that as egregious as a teen using her mom’s makeup brand? No, of course not. This is Victoria specific even though the public has so moved on from this narrative, despite the Daily Mail’s best attempts to keep it going. 

You know who’s pretty slick? Christina Hall. I don’t follow her shows but in 20 years I will need a documentary on how she pulled off the personal/professional relationship dynamics. To summarize, she was married to Tarek (he gives me the chills) and they had a bad split, but continue to work together on TV. She married Ant Anstead, they split and had some contentious custody issues. She then married a guy named Josh and now they’ve split. 

She’s working on a new show called The Flip Off, along with Tarek and his newest wife Heather. Ant is reportedly also filming for the series. She’s worked with not one but two ex-husbands after pretty nasty breakups. I can see why these men want to work with her; I think she’s a big TV draw and must be very good at her job both in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes.

Ant Anstead might be grateful for the work and good press. His custom car company has gone under and there are a lot of questions about financial impropriety. I wonder if he and Renee Zellweger are still together?

Yes, this is from November 2 but I wasn’t here so it doesn’t count! I also wanted to point out that Iris Apatow and Olivia Rodrigo are very close and this is a very cute BFF costume.
