Dua and Callum’s (First) Low-Key Wedding

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are married. It happened in London, a small affair with only close friends and family, basically a town hall ceremony.

Even though her outfit was definitely not basic – Schiaparelli, likely inspired by Bianca Jagger, chic AF. Although some fashion girlies are pointing out that you can see some of the nude padding under her jacket in a few of the shots.

I’m not super bothered about it. She probably didn’t give it a tug before she came out of there in all the excitement, which adds to the spontaneous charm of the moment. They weren’t thinking about posing and angles, they were just thrilled to be wed. And I’m not saying this was a spontaneous decision – obviously not, they’ve been engaged for a while, and it’s not like they just woke up this weekend deciding to make it official. What I mean is the vibe of the day, everyone looks thrilled in these pap shots, especially Dua. She’s just a girl who’s having a great time marrying her best friend and ultimately that’s what it’s about.

I’ve been all about these two since it started. They’re HOT together. They are really cute together, and the way they talk about their first date, it’s straight out of a book. From the jump he was down bad.

This, however, is apparently is one of two weddings for Dua and Callum. There will reportedly be a much more lavish event in Sicily this coming weekend, at Villa Valguarnera, allegedly, at which many more celebrities will be in attendance. The lOC Elton John is rumoured, as well as Charli XCX, and Simon Porte Jacquemus is doing the dress – according to the British tabloids. Dua was seen in Milan last week with her stylist, said to be finalising preparations.

The timing for the wedding(s) makes sense. Callum’s next movie is One Night Only, co-starring Monica Barbaro, opening on August 7. So they have a few weeks to bask in their post-wedding glow before he gets back to work on promotion. As a lifelong fan of romance, I am allllll the way in on this movie from the trailer. And also all the way in on Dua and Callum.
