The last time we checked in on Gigi Hadid she was in Paris with Bradley Cooper while he works on the Oceans prequel. She’s been there off and on for almost two months, considering when she was seen during Paris Fashion Week. So it’s not just BCoop, Gigi is handling her business too.

She covers the September issue of Vogue France and since Gigi is a model, we don’t need a reason for her to be covering a fashion magazine, unlike when actors do it, this is her job. But there also might be another motivation.

Gigi has her own clothing label, Guest in Residence. I kind of hate it, actually. Because the clothes are good, too good, and also too expensive. One of my favourite sweaters is a layered rugby that I wrote about in this post. It’s the style, the cashmere, and also the colourway – I have it in the limewash and I need to really pace myself with how often I wear it; I know no one wants to hear this but one of the reasons I’m not that mad about fall coming soon is because I can’t wait to put it on again. So that's the up and downside of Guest in Residence. And the work here is that they’ve dropped a new collection, western themed, and Bella’s come in with an assist.

I’m not a huge fan of western style but… ugh… some of these pieces are f-cking me up. Like the Tartan Bomber in green is going to haunt me, I love it so much. And the Plaid Work Shirt in red is exactly on trend right now with the whole 90s thing.

But the Guest in Residence standard is the rugby and the polo – the fit is great, and their colourways are so appealing. Here’s an example: the Grizzly Cropped Rugby, both options are cute AF. And this new green, brown, pink theme is now available in the Collegiate Cashmere Polo, one of the brand’s core pieces. But, again, shopping at Gigi isn’t cheap. Not all celebrity brands are as consistently good as her sh-t though.

Anyway, back to Gigi and Vogue – as part of the issue she also filmed a kitchen segment, which she says has always been her dream, to cook on TV. Gigi’s not bad at this, she can keep a one-person conversation going pretty smoothly, and I believe her when she’s doing what she’s doing: making pasta. Like she’s not Edward Scissorhands on a cutting board but I also do a lot of cooking and I’m slow at chopping too. What’s important is that she doesn’t look like she’s uncomfortable, I believe her when she says she’s made this many times, including for “her man”. That’s not the first time she’s referred to Bradley Cooper this way and he comes up in the segment, which is extra interesting since he trained as a chef for Kitchen Confidential.

Gigi is chatty, charming, and seems like she doesn’t want to stop what she’s doing – like this doesn’t come across like it’s an obligation for her; if they kept rolling she might have kept rolling too. And I would watch. What else is she cooking with Bradley Cooper?
