The British tabloids published an “exclusive” this weekend about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding that involves Gigi Hadid, one of Taylor’s close friends. Supposedly Gigi and Taylor’s other BFFs are planning a “big surprise” for her – which I guess is no longer a surprise. Because those who really know Taylor well would actually be so bad at keeping secrets that the UK Sun finds out what will happen at the wedding before the bride does.

According to the report:

“It’s understood the singer’s best friends – including Selena and Gigi Hadid – want to honor her career and life achievements in different ways at what promises to be one of the most star-studded nuptials in recent history. They are reportedly producing a video of approximately six or seven minutes to show the guests during the wedding. This film, per the source, will cover Taylor’s journey, the moment she met Travis Kelce, and private moments between them.”

Missed opportunity for these fiction writers – via ChatGPT – to really go for it here. Like why not just throw in there that Bradley Cooper is directing it? If you’re going to make sh-t up, swing for the fences!

Anyway, in actual reality, here’s Gigi heading to work today in New York, preppy in jeans and loafers, wearing her own Guest in Residence red sweater with a puffed and cuffed sleeve. This is the sculpted cardigan (this is an affiliate link) and like all pieces at Guest in Residence, it’s pricey. But I will say, the quality in the products from Gigi’s brand are always excellent. This cardigan will not fall apart on you and if you take care of it properly, you’ll have it for years.

Gigi is the latest celebrity this spring stepping out with 90s energy, a resurgence of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s style…although to her credit, this has always been her lane, well before the last year or so.

What else happened today…

I screamed when I saw that OUMA’s bridal collection is being featured by the Fug Girls. I love Ou, and I love Heather and Jessica, and it’s like all my favourites are connecting. Full disclosure, I wore OUMA to the Oscars last year and she custom-designed a dress for me this year. She is so talented, her dresses (both bridal and evening) are so beautiful, and it’s wonderful that her profile is growing. (Go Fug Yourself)

Jason Tabrys writes that growing old is the best performance of Harrison Ford’s career. (Pajiba)

Nicole Kidman is training for a role – not on screen but in her personal life, but her greatness as an actor, I would imagine, will serve her well. Because one of the most important qualities to have as an actor is empathy, and she has shown that she has so much empathy, for her characters, for her colleagues, and obviously for the story. Ted Sarandos threw a party and Prince Harry and Meghan were there, right after the trades tried to make it seem like Netflix wanted nothing to do with them. (Celebitchy)

This is a very gay history of Top Chef. As Natalie writes, “few shows have been as committed to the inclusion of LGBT people as Top Chef. With queer women having being part of Top Chef since its inception, one would be hard-pressed to argue that the show isn’t the most lesbian reality show on television”. (Autostraddle)
