It’s unofficially Joshua Jackson week here on LaineyGossip. We were JUST talking about him and his new show, Doctor Odyssey, which premiered last night. Here is Joshua heading into Jimmy Kimmel Live! to continue promoting the show during its premiere week.
But the real reason I bring up Joshua Jackson is to shout out Jenny Holiday, reader and authoress of the novel Canadian Boyfriend. Joshua Jackson reads the audiobook (which is co-narrated by reader Emily)! Jenny emailed us to let us know about this triumph, and that she basically manifested THE Canadian boyfriend reading HER Canadian boyfriend. Jenny!! That’s amazing!! Back to Doctor Odyssey, though. I watched the pilot. There’s no way I will have the time or energy to keep up with a weekly series, but it definitely gave me 911 vibes. For those of you who don’t know, 911 is also a Ryan Murphy network series, it is completely f-cking insane, and it features Angela Bassett absolutely holding it down. She deserves an Emmy for maintaining a straight face. This week’s premiere features a “bee-nado”. This show is nuts. Ryan Murphy keeps trying to do true crime, when really, he should be giving us more soapy drama set against a backdrop of absolutely bonkers medical emergencies. Like Doctor Odyssey!
