L'uragano più bello

Alexa Demie was at Paris Fashion Week today, the first time she’s been a guest of Chanel. Which is notable because unlike so many stars of her generation, she doesn’t show up everywhere and anywhere. In fact, you can actually say that it’s rare to see her at a fashion show, at an industry event. She moves super low-key, and this is a topic of conversation among Euphoria fans – the fact that she vibrates under the radar, and is known to have a sparing presence on social media and on the usual celebrity circuit.

Alexa also chooses not to work as often as she can, so her definition of ambition is different from what we typically recognise as the Hollywood standard. This is why her attendance at Chanel is being seen as somewhat of a “get” for the house. It is not unusual to see Tilda Swinton there, or Pedro Pascal, or even Teyana Taylor, as amazing as she always looks. Alexa popping up, though, is atypical.

One of Alexa’s best friends is Rosalía and this came up the other night at Rosalía’s concert in LA when she dedicated a song to Alexa. And not just any song but "Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti" – if there is an empress on the LUX album, it is "Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti". This track is divine, if I ever am so fortunate to hear it live, I might not survive it. Imagine having it dedicated to you?! I think we can presume that to Rosalía, Alexa is l'uragano più bello, the most beautiful hurricane.

Do you know how to say “Lexi Minetree”? It’s not Mine-tree, it’s “Min-uh-tree”, like almost “ministry” but without the “s”. She’s in Paris to promote Elle in a very Elle Woods fit, and it may be archival, from the year we all met Elle. Very well done.

But also… stop making me feel old. Lexi was born in 2001, she’s 25 years old, which I didn’t think was too young to know how to use “an old-school phone” but that’s where we are now. (Celebitchy)

The Emmy nominations are coming tomorrow, here are the predictions from The Hollywood Reporter. Sarah mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Connor Storrie in the guest actor category is how the Television Academy is going to try to get some Heated Rivalry  into the proceedings.
