I love a Halloween episode and I had no idea that The Office cut this from streaming. Um, if you get to the end you know why. You think maybe it’s because Michael Scott is wearing a “dick in the box” costume in front of children but no, that’s not it.

How huge is Doomsday going to be? I only ask because I will be in New York and needed to get tickets for a specific theatre for a specific time and I barely was able to secure the seats for two months from now. Which seems kind of unusually bonkers and it is backed up by data.

Wayfarer Studios announced a new film going into production starring Justin Chambers, and I wonder if they learned anything from It Ends With Us. If you look past the sensationalist headlines, there were a list of workplace violations and inappropriate situations that were well-documented; before the lawsuit, Wayfarer agreed to stricter operational procedures on set (like hiring an intimacy coordinator). Did Wayfarer learn a very expensive and much-needed lesson, or will they continue with business as usual?

Some art doesn’t age well and I actually don’t enjoy litigating 80s movies or Christmas song lyrics. Movies and music and TV have cultural context, they are a reflection of the time it was created in. That said I think we, as a society, have evolved past Ali G. I am guessing the box office will reflect that.
