What Else?
I feel like I’ve been asking this everyday – anyone there? The women’s artistic gymnastics individual all-round is happening right now and it’s looking tight between Simone Biles and Rebeca Andrade, which is SO exciting. So … like…. are you even here?
Is this… a celebrity first? Earlier today I posted about Cardi B filing for divorce and the rumours about her pregnancy. Shortly after, she confirmed the pregnancy on Instagram. A divorce and a pregnancy announcement on the same day! A flex! Endings and beginnings are inextricably linked, as Cardi says, and she also seems to be hinting at the forthcoming album and what its inspirations might have been. (Uproxx)
Jamie Lee Curtis answered a question about Marvel at Comic-Con and I guess a lot of people got mad at her so now she’s had to apologise and call Kevin Feige and it sounds like she’s no longer going to participate in any more fun games interviews because of this experience and … like… I f-ck with Marvel hard, which I think you’ve seen over the years on this site, and Sarah’s our Marvel expert, so with that in mind, my opinion on this is that this “resolution”, if we can call it that, helps no one and makes things less fun. There could have been a wittier and more entertaining way to get her to come to the Marvel side and this is an industry that’s supposed to be about creativity and I wish there was a more creative way to have addressed this not-all-that-big-of-a-deal situation. I will stop with the run-on sentences now. For today I mean. (Pajiba)
Blake Lively has made her first appearances on the press tour for It Ends With Us and these two looks are very Blake and very matchy-matchy. (GoFugYourself)
Prince Harry and Meghan will be going on tour again, likely before the end of the year. Colombia has invited them to visit and apparently they said yes. Clearly Colombian officials were watching what happened in Nigeria and would like to produce a similar experience. This is going to make the British tabloids so mad. They’re already mad. I haven’t checked but this is a certainty. (Celebitchy)
The Ankler is reporting that the film adaptation of Britney Spears’s The Woman in Me has been acquired in a huge deal. There was a bidding war, and some good names are attached to the project. Also, and this is key, if they can get this off the ground, it sounds like they’ll be able to use her music. The music rights are always key to these projects. (The Ankler)
