Back in January when our eyes bugged out at the news that Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles were dating, it was soon followed by a back-up-wait-a-minute update because ostensibly Jason Sudeikis was blindsided by it. Olivia and Jason had confirmed their split a few months before, but when Olivia and Harry were papped together at a wedding, it was reported that Jason didn’t know that they’d broken up for real, the implication being that Olivia had done him dirty. Did she though?
Because a month after that, rumours surfaced that Jason was dating Keeley Hazell, his co-star on Ted Lasso. And people stopped alleging that Olivia’s timeline was shady, with all of them in England through the winter and early spring while Jason worked on Ted Lasso season two.
Jason is now back in the US and he was seen with Keeley in New York on Sunday. PEOPLE has the exclusive:
Jason Sudeikis, Keeley Hazell Embrace During N.Y.C. Outing as Source Confirms They're a Couple https://t.co/foGSb0cIZ0
— People (@people) June 28, 2021
“A source close to Sudeikis, 45, confirms to PEOPLE that the Ted Lasso and Horrible Bosses 2 costars have "been seeing each other."
"They've been dating for a little while now," the insider adds. "They're just having fun. It's nothing serious at this point."
Sure, why not? It’s summer. Many people can travel again. But Keeley is based in the UK and there remain certain travel restrictions in place for people entering the US from certain regions, including the UK since they’re dealing with a major surge in the Delta variant over there. So it wouldn’t be a total breeze for her to join him in the US. Easier because they’re celebrities? Probably. But not a complete pass either. But worth it if she’s staying longer. And if she’s staying longer, is it really “nothing serious”?
Or maybe it’s “nothing serious” because it’s work, since probably after the Independence Day holiday, they’ll like start promoting the second season of Ted Lasso which premieres on Apple TV+ on July 23, just a couple of weeks after Euro is over and a few weeks ahead of the start of the English Premier League. Which is smart, considering the audience. I don’t know about you but where I live, Euro football fever is pretty high. And people are always pumped for a new EPL season. Their timing is perfect. EPL is the primary sport of my household and we LOVE Ted Lasso here. I can’t wait for the new season. My only issue with it is that my husband, Jacek, likes to slow-watch, and I’m a binger. This is what we’ll be fighting about.
