Jen & Jim: Red Carpet Pre-Official
I was wondering yesterday how Jennifer Aniston would baby-step her new relationship with Jim Curtis at the season four premiere of The Morning Show in New York. This is her first red carpet since their romance was revealed. And, as we have seen, they haven’t rushed their launch – it’s been soft roll for the last several weeks, just the other day she included him in a carousel on IG but not his face and way back in the album, so it was unlikely that they’d actually pose for photos together and present themselves to the media.
Now we know what Jen and Jim’s pre-official red carpet looks like. She wore black, of course, as usual, and she hung out with the team, including her producing partner Reese Witherspoon, and Jim was there but also not too there. Literally he watched from the sidelines.
So not too prominent, no thrusting him into the spotlight, but also he’s not running from it either. Nobody here is going to great lengths to hide and/or pretend like they don’t want to be talked about. It’s the perfect balance of yes, we know that you know that this is happening and we’re not going to fight it all that hard but we’re also not going to make ourselves a dish to be feasted on. I know I said this before but I feel like not enough people agreed with me – do you not see a crazy physical similarity between Jim Curtis and Bradley Cooper?!
Also, at this point, I would not be surprised if Bradley Cooper showed up in The Morning Show because all of these series, from Only Murders to The Bear and The White Lotus etc, they’re stacking their casts with NAMES. Jon Hamm is back from last season and two Oscar winners have joined: Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons. Plus, here’s one I missed – and this one is for Sarah because she has always been on this ride: Boyd Holbrook. He’s on The Morning Show now and I just messaged her to say this and her response: “I am aware I will eventually have to watch those episodes. Le sigh.”
Sarah doesn’t f-ck with TMS and for a lot of other people it’s a hate watch. For many of us who work in television though, the series is irresistible. That’s why so many broadcasters showed up to this premiere – like Diane Sawyer, whose experience was one of the inspirations for the show.
