Jennifer Aniston: The Next Romantic Step

I’ve been posting about how Jennifer Aniston seems to be gradually rolling out the public introduction to her relationship with Jim Curtis, taking baby steps that seem like a throwback in these times, considering how people seem to go from meeting to all over each other in a matter of minutes these days. Jen’s approach, whether it’s intentional or not, feels refreshingly modern in its old-fashionedness. She is slow dating and this week she’s taken yet another baby step. 

Jen is in New York this week to promote the new season of The Morning Show. The junket is today and the red carpet is tonight. Before red carpet official, though, of course there is Instagram official. And Jim showed up on her IG for the first time the other day in a carousel, the second to last photo, it’s the back of his head as the sun sets. 

 

She’s been a celebrity long enough for us to assume that there was some intention here, but not too much intention. It’s a summer recap, she knows we all know she has a new boyfriend, she’s obviously happy with him, but he’s buried at the back to make it not that much of a story, and yet still a story. But, of course, don’t ask her about him because she’s private. 

Speaking of the red carpet though, given that she has been baby-stepping this rollout, is tonight too soon? Or is it the perfect time to create more buzz for the show which… are people really talking about TMS?

What else happened today…

Everyone is talking about The Rock’s performance in The Smashing Machine and whether or not he’ll be an Oscar contender and his physical transformation because he’s allegedly not as big as he used to be. I must be body-blind when it comes to The Rock, I wouldn’t have noticed if not for the headlines. He still looks huge to me. Now, though, we know the reason. Something to do with a chicken. (Pajiba)
