It’s not John Mayer, even though he’s been trying to put it into the universe by reverse-psychologising that the universe would never let it happen. Well, so far, the universe has had mercy on us because Jennifer Lawrence indeed wants nothing to do with John but does have a new boyfriend, according to Page Six:
“The Hunger Games” star has been quietly dating a dashing New York art gallerist named Cooke Maroney.
Mystery man Maroney works as a director at New York’s venerable Gladstone Gallery, which reps artists including Lena Dunham‘s dad, Carroll Dunham, as well as Richard Prince, Anish Kapoor, Ugo Rondinone and Bjork’s ex, Matthew Barney.
We hear that Lawrence and Maroney were introduced by J.Law’s BFF, Laura Simpson. A source told Page Six of Lawrence and her new beau: “They met through Jen’s friend Laura … The relationship has been going on a few weeks. But they have been very private and careful not to be seen together.”
Laura, by the way, is the friend Jennifer is always with at award shows:

Stavros, as you recall, used to run with the Paris Hilton crowd, back in the 2000s, but he’s now dating Dasha Zhukova, ex-wife of billionaire Roman Abramovich, who is close with Wendi Deng and everybody’s BFF Derek Blasberg. Not sure if Cooke still rolls with that crowd but if he does, that’s an interesting circle that Jennifer Lawrence might be joining.
