Kit Harington married Rose Leslie in Scotland on Saturday. The ceremony happened at Rayne Church and, as noted on Friday, they returned to Wardhill Castle for the reception, a castle that has been in Rose’s family for 900 years. This is where Rose grew up. Is it hard to heat a castle? Let me know if you’ve ever stayed in a castle in winter. I imagine it being quite cold which, actually, is perfect sleeping conditions for me. A cold sleep is the best sleep.
I was wondering the other day what Rose’s wedding dress would look like, given the venue. This is the perfect dress for a castle wedding. And I love the flower crown with the veil. Yes to the flower crown at a Scottish wedding. No to the flower crown at Coachella. And yes to these pictures of them hand in hand running to the car as friends and family toss flower petals in the air. (Also the fact that the car was a classic Land Rover showing its years. Pretty sure automobile enthusiasts were popping boners over that.) They look SO f-cking happy it’s impossible to sh-t on this moment.
As for the guests, Game of Thrones was well represented. Samwell Tarly aka John Bradley was there, as were Peter Dinklage and Emilia Clarke. And my runner up for best dressed guests are Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, Arya and Sansa Stark, who appeared to coordinate their outfits. Right down to the handbags! How cute is this?!?
When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.
Speaking of lone wolves though, here’s Richard Madden, a Scotsman who came correct for a Scottish wedding.
My God that is a sight to see. I have not missed Robb Stark at all. But I’m the perv who just spent several minutes revisiting Robb’s love scenes.
