Lily Allen is a complicated woman and that is something to be appreciated. In a time of conscious uncoupling, let a woman go through it in her art and not pretend her ex is her best friend.

John Mulaney appeared on the I Need You Guys podcast and around the 20-minute mark, John said he talked comedian Dan Levy’s wife Rachel out of flying from LA to Tampa for the funeral of a good friend’s parent. He said “that’s not a fly out.” Feel free to listen for context but I think if it is doable financially, this is absolutely a fly-out situation. In fact, as an adult of a certain age, I would put this very high up on the list of fly-out situations and vehemently disagree with John. But I’m really going to step in it and tell you what I don’t think are fly-out situations: gender reveals, baby showers (or sprinkles) and engagement parties. I know someone who just had a destination engagement party. Is this a thing?!! (It went so terribly they are eloping, so I guess that’s a silver lining.)

Meghan Sussex losing a Head of Communications is a big deal because the UK tabloids need something to glom onto to distract from Andrew. Even IF Meghan has issues retaining staff, and that’s an IF that I’ll get into in a minute, the UK tabloids are clutching their pearls over this and not a very disturbing man. It’s laughably obvious what is going on here.

As for H&M’s staffing issue, the Sussexes pivot quite frequently in their goals and projects and that can be a frustrating environment to work in. Emily Robinson moved from Netflix to a family office, mainly to focus on With Love, Meghan. Now that season two has aired and a holiday special is coming up, maybe the future of With Love, Meghan is up in the air and there’s not a lot for Emily to do. Meghan and Harry’s indecisiveness and constantly shifting lanes has been covered extensively (including this Vanity Fair article) so it could be a sign of a deeper underlying issue but no taxpayers are footing the bill for their staff, or their home, or their trips. Unlike some people.

Country singer Alexandra Kay told Taste of Country magazine that her friend Maggie is not with Keith Urban and had nothing to do with his marriage ending. I don’t know if this is true or not but I do know this is a really bad PR move because the story was in the rearview and now it’s on PEOPLE. People had moved on and the focus is on Nicole, not Keith. It might have been done with good intentions on Alexandra’s part but it’s brought the story back from the dead. Alexandra is doing album promo and is currently the top story on PEOPLE, so maybe that’s the win for her.
