Dear Gossips,

Paris Fashion Week F/W 2024 closed out with the Louis Vuitton presentation yesterday at the Cour Carrée du Louvre, celebrating Nicolas Ghesquière’s ten years as Artistic Director of Women’s Collections.

Four thousand people were invited to mark the milestone, including two of the five Best Actress Oscar nominees this year, Emma Stone and Sandra Hüller. And so, so, SO many other celebrities.

But let’s focus on two of them in particular. Here’s the teaser video that LV released ahead of the show – it opens with Cate Blanchett, and it ends with Felix from Stray Kids:

Felix wasn’t just featured in the promo though, and he didn’t just attend the event, he made his runway debut…in spectacular fashion. As you can see below, in the video and the caption, Louis Vuitton made Felix a major focal point of the new presentation, describing it as “a boldly contemporary new collection, personified by House Ambassador Felix”.

Felix was confirmed as LV House Ambassador last August with Nicolas saying in a statement that he loves Felix’s “audacious sense of style”.

What makes this extraordinary is that as House Ambassador, Felix isn’t modelling in the menswear show, he’s walking on the women’s runway, another example of how East Asian stars are continuing to push style boundaries and challenging cultural stereotypes.

But it’s also an example of Korea’s still increasing influence on pop culture overall. Louis Vuitton is the biggest most lucrative fashion house in the world, the first brand to exceed €20 billion in sales. On the tenth anniversary of Nicolas Ghesquière’s reign, it was Hoyeon who opened the show once again, as she has done several times now.

At the end of the show, it was Hoyeon and Felix leading all models to close the show:

And in the audience, none other than BLACKPINK’s Lisa who made a surprise appearance to honour Nicolas in two archival looks from his previous collections:

Lisa is officially a Celine ambassador, but both Celine and Louis Vuitton are under LVMH, so this isn’t offside. And on top of that, even though they haven’t necessarily hard launched their relationship, it’s pretty obvious that she’s dating Frédéric Arnault, one of the heirs of the LVMH empire, as they’ve been consistently seen together for over a year, and sometimes with his billionaire family, and she’s rumoured to have joined them on holiday too.

Speaking of holidays, Lisa has joined the cast of The White Lotus season three. So to go back to my original point… K-pop is EVERYWHERE! And if you’re still not on it, well, you’re seriously falling behind.

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
