Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? I don’t know her.

Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig reportedly sold their Brooklyn townhouse. People move all the time and it could be they wanted a bigger space or to be closer to a different school or a million different reasons. It doesn’t have to be the big D but… let’s keep an eye on it.

Going by Reese Witherspoon’s video captions, she is putting her AI interest to the test. How dreadful.

In the football world, the big story is Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and The Athletic journalist Dianna Russini holding hands at a luxury spa resort. Russini resigned and Vrabel is taking personal time for counselling. It got me thinking that therapy is what the modern scandalized man is reaching for in times of public pressure – Dave Grohl is seeing someone six days a week after getting a woman pregnant. Listening and learning etc.

Dancing With the Stars is not a cool show, it’s not prestige TV. But it has undeniable longevity and casting seems to go two ways: a nostalgic favourite who needs a shot of relevancy, or a niche celebrity (from sports, social media, or reality TV) who needs to get their face in front of an ABC audience. Ciara Miller is the latter and this is exactly the right way for her to capitalise from the Summer House scandal (her bestie taking up with her ex BF).

I read a tweet I can’t find now that said the Michael biopic storyline stops so early in his career that it would be like an OJ Simpson biopic ending when he wins the Heisman Trophy. There’s a lot of mess around this film, including family drama and editing characters for legal reasons but the box office receipts are very strong. Variety says it’s record-breaking and I guess there’s a synergy to that: no one sold more than Michael Jackson, and that was before streaming and variants.

Speaking of variants, Olivia Rodrigo is getting some heat for releasing multiple variants for her new single and I don’t know if the blowback is harder because it’s legitimate or if it’s a criticism being pushed by other artists’ fandoms because she’s not the first and only to do it. Variants are now a “don’t hate the player, hate the game” reality and it is rewarded by official charts. The only way to discourage variants is to stop rewarding record companies and artists the numbers.
