The Devil is Everywhere

It’s not just the cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2, there were so many celebrities outside yesterday promoting various projects in a wide range of looks, but we’ll start with the Devil doing double last night, because right after the London premiere, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and Simone Ashley made a quick change and were back at it for another event called A Night With Runway, to promote the film and the British fashion community at the National Gallery.
Meryl Streep’s sparkly ultramarine cape is Richard Quinn. This is stunning and, once again, we’re seeing her overwhelmed and delighted by the enthusiasm for this press tour and this movie.
For Annie, it was custom Louis Vuitton – striped and column but also front-bustled, this dress is doing the most but also doesn’t feel like it’s doing too much.
Flip through Erin Walsh’s carousel to the video of her from behind as she walks down the hall of the hotel on her way to the party. The fit is perfect.
Emily Blunt is in Dior, it’s short, sheer, and flirty. And it actually really works with Converse, which she changed into eventually, as shown by her stylist, Jessica Paster.
Meanwhile, over in New York, Nicole Kidman and Zoë Saldaña were at an event celebrating the women of the Taylor Sheridan universe. Didn’t know this was a thing, but OK. Nicole’s in Chanel – Mathieu Blazy’s take on the classic suit and the cap-toe slingbacks with the fruit detail on the heel.
I LOVE what Zoë is wearing here and I wish I could find a better solo shot of her but you can see in the group shot – it’s a cropped cardigan over a ruched and ruffled skirt and all of that goes over a pair of long lace bloomers… obsessed!
Finally, Charlize Theron at the premiere of Apex. It’s a men’s suit, Dior, worn open so as to better show off the collar. And if you’re going to show it off, you show it all the way off. Second slide in the carousel below shows her in motion, no fear whatsoever.
