Dear Gossips,

The thing I complain about the most – and I complain a LOT about a LOT of things – is traffic.

A study released in January of this year revealed that Toronto is ranked third in the world for slowest traffic and the WORST city in North America. In other words, traffic in New York City is better than Toronto. This is why I quit driving a year and a half ago. Even in the cold ass f-cksh-t of February, I will walk my ass to the train station rather than get into the car. And I’ll still be bitching about all the traffic and construction that I’m walking past on foot to and from work.

Now a popstar has given me reason to open the site today with more complaining about Toronto traffic, because Niall Horan is the latest celebrity to put us on blast:

@niallhorannation

Niall walking to Scotiabank Arena because of the traffic in Toronto @Niall Horan #niall#nialler#niallhoran#horan#theshow#tslot#theshowliveontour2024#theshowliveontour#niallhoranvids#niallhoranconcert#niallhorannation#1d#onedirection#lovers#tslottoronto #tslottoronton1

So Niall’s walking to his concert venue basically exactly a year after Tom Cruise called us out for our traffic mess in an interview with ETALK last summer

The situation is very bad… and now I’m thinking about a couple of major events coming up in the city: the Toronto International Film Festival is happening in two months, same week as back to school. And then…in November…

Taylor Swift.

It’s already chaos in Toronto with the traffic. But when Taylor Swift comes to town, Toronto will be Armageddon. This is why, no joke, I’m trying to leave the country during that time. Because it not only won’t be fixed by then, it will probably be even worse.

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
