When the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was at the height of its cultural popularity, it was also known as the Leonardo DiCaprio Hunger Games, or the Leonardo DiCaprio draft, or the Leonardo DiCaprio catalogue selection. There are no photos of Leo at this year’s VS show but he reportedly hosted an after-party, so he remains the patron saint of the angels and the aspirational standard for so many young actors who came after him, like Timothée Chalamet.

Exactly a month ago I posted about Liu Wen because of the massive success of a Chinese drama on Netflix called The Early Spring, starring her boyfriend Jing Boran and the unhinged way some fans of the series were behaving over their relationship. As noted at the time, Liu Wen has been a very big deal in fashion for a very long time. She’s China’s first supermodel, the first Chinese model to cover American Vogue, and be on the Forbes list, and the first model of East Asian descent to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway. As Bella Hadid just said a few weeks ago, she’s the model’s model, an idol to her peers. Liu Wen just wrapped up Paris Fashion Week after walking in the Saint Laurent, The Row, Tom Ford, Balenciaga, Schiaparelli, Givenchy, Miu Miu, and Chanel shows. And she was back on that catwalk last night at VS for the 10th time.

Liu Wen wasn’t the only Chinese supermodel representing last night. The VS runway also featured the bride in the Wedding of the Year. Ming Xi and Mario Ho broke our brains this summer with their most elite of elite weddings in Mont Saint-Michel – their net worth is all of the Kardashian-Jenners combined… and then some.

That just about wraps up my personal interest in Victoria’s Secret, let’s move on to the You Can See Everything memes. Because now that the film has opened and more and more people have seen it, the content creators are doing their thing. This only adds to the movie’s momentum. Also, some of them are … like… chef’s kiss, which is appropriate especially for this one, LOL.

We are now less than two weeks from Halloween. I am a Halloween grinch in that I do not participate and hate being forced to participate but I can appreciate a great costume that isn’t just “sexy robot”. This will also be the first Heated Rivalry Halloween but everybody can go home, we’re done, it’s over – because Jimmy just defeated everyone.
