“No Trouble” for TNT

Jason and Travis Kelce were in Vegas last weekend for Justin Timberlake’s golf tournament. Taylor Swift was not seen with him. Which prompted speculation about why they weren’t there together and what that might mean. Then it was pointed out that he either unfollowed or never followed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram and while many wondered whether that was a sign that Taylor and Blake Lively are no longer friends, some also rumoured that it may have more to do with what’s going on with Taylor and Travis and if Travis’s unfollow/never followed was rather an indication of trouble with TNT. 

This is why Page Six dropped an “exclusive” yesterday claiming to know the “truth” behind why Taylor and Travis haven’t been together, at least not publicly. 

“They’re still so in love and enjoying spending time with their friends and each other during the offseason,” a source tells Page Six exclusively. “There’s no trouble at all.”

I believe that TNT are fine and this is a nothingburger. I also do NOT believe that Page Six knows sh-t about TNT. If there’s one thing you can count on with Taylor and Tree Paine (her publicist) it’s that they know how to keep a grudge. And given all the f-ckery Page Six has pulled on Taylor over the years, even decades, there is no way anyone with any inside knowledge on Taylor is leaking to them. 

That said, Taylor’s missingness over the last few months has been a source of fascination and, therefore, speculation. Like that loser in the White House is doing everything but a good job and can’t keep her name out of his mouth – he just had to mention her yesterday. She’s been super light on socials, she hasn't been performing friendship – word is she supposedly was at Gigi Hadid’s 30th birthday party last weekend but apparently arrived by hidden entrance to avoid photographers. Given Taylor’s past security tricks (and that travelling via suitcase thing that’s now become its own legend) and resources, she’s certainly capable of evading discovery even in New York City but she hasn’t always chosen to, as we well know, especially when it comes to the friend hangs. My theory is that it’s because she wants to lower the temperature around herself and astutely manage the supply and demand of her own celebrity but this is boring and the internet hates boring, so it wouldn’t be surprising if, before long, a new theory will emerge about Taylor’s quietness with a timeline of nine months. 

Also, as the Met Gala approaches some fans are trying to manifest her return to that event after an almost decade-long absence. The theme is “Tailored for You”, as in Taylor in a tailored suit by, say, LaQuan Smith. It’s not like Travis wouldn’t want to go and he’s never been. For the gossip, I hope for it, but I also can’t see it.
