Camila Morrone celebrated her 23rd birthday last week and as Maria covered in Celebrity Social Media yesterday, Leonardo DiCaprio spent the day with her and their friends on the water. We’re now two years ago from the infamous Leo cutoff. No rush, right? We’re in the middle of a pandemic, and it’s not like he can be in the South of France partying with models. Maybe, though, we’ll have a COVID-19 vaccine by the time the 25-year-old deadline comes around.

Following that birthday outing, PEOPLE has a new report today about how “serious” Leo is about Camila. A source tells PEOPLE that:

"He is usually very independent, spends lots of time with friends, but because of the lockdown, he has mostly spent time with Camila. He loves being with her.”

“They are very close,” the insider adds of the pair, adding that the Oscar winner, 45, seems “serious” about Morrone. "Leo has spent 24/7 with Camila for months at his house."

You know what made me laugh when I read this? They’ve been together for at least two and a half years. Like, celebrity or not, if you’re with someone for two and a half years, it’s a given that it’s serious, right? But here the wording is “seems serious” because…well, I guess, is it because we can’t reallllly be sure since this is Leonardo DiCaprio?

That’s not how the source comment, I’m sure, was intended. But “seems serious” is, like, the perception of serious, even the probability of serious, and also, does it still leave room?

Here’s Leo the other day at Jimmy Iovine’s Malibu beach house with Bradley Cooper who’s been in New York during the lockdown but I guess he’s back in LA now that restrictions are lifted. Speaking of Malibu beach houses and Leo, is there going to be volleyball this year?
