There are a lot of people who watched Bridgerton on Netflix over the holidays and then started shipping the Duke and Duchess of Hastings aka Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor in real life. This has not materialised, although I would love if you could let me know whether or not there are some Bridger-hards out there who live in an imaginary world in which RJ and Phoebe are secretly married and raising two children, like Twi-Hards do with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
The reality is that RJ has a girlfriend and he and Phoebe are co-stars. And it appears Phoebe’s set her romantic attention elsewhere. According to the Sun, she and Pete Davidson are “growing close”. They met in New York last month and with Saturday Night Live on hiatus the last few weeks, he apparently flew to England to spend time with her. The Sun claims they were seen together last week “near her home in North London and again in Altrincham, Great Manchester, where she was raised”.
Well there’s sightseeing and then there’s sightseeing in your hometown, which suggests a more-than-friends situationship. Once again, Pete Davidson has hooked up with a girl of the moment. And you know what I appreciate about this? Imagine if this was Justin Timberlake? The ego would be out of control. Pete, though, doesn’t swing his dick around about this, at least that’s never been my read on him. That’s part of it, the BDE, Big Dick Energy, non? If we’re even still using that expression. That said, it’s been over a year since Pete and Kaia Gerber broke up at the beginning of 2020. Since then, and I’m sure the pandemic has something to do with it, he’s been single and has said he’s working on himself after a couple of years of back-to-back-to-back short relationships. Perhaps he’s in a different place now. And ready for something really special with Phoebe.
As for how they met…
According to Page Six, Phoebe was in New York in February. That’s when Regé-Jean hosted SNL. So the Bridger-hards might actually have a conspiracy theory to spin, LOL. As in… did she go there to be with RJ and they’re hiding their secret romance by using Pete has a distraction?! That’s a classic #RobstenIsUnbroken move. Any girlfriends Robert and Kristen have ever had are just smokescreens for their epic love. Might there be an equivalent Bridgerton conspiracy?
