After spending several days at home in Barbados earlier this week to mark her nation becoming the world’s newest republic, witnessing the moment the country broke up with the Queen, and being declared a Bajan National Hero, Rihanna has returned to New York; she was seen shopping yesterday with A$AP Rocky. Rocky was not seen with her in Barbados, but that doesn’t mean it’s a problem. You can tell from these shots – they’re solid, my Photo Assumption (our favourite game of baseless conclusions) is that they’re as close as ever. 

 

So close that they’re about to be parents? 

This is the rumour that’s apparently been going around. I actually never heard about it until the denial came. She supposedly replied to someone’s DM on Instagram: 

 

I mean, that definitely sounds like RiRi. And she’s right – there’s always speculation and now that she and Rocky have been rock steady for probably about a couple of years now… 

(Sidebar: pretty much exactly two years ago, December 2, 2019, they showed up together at the Fashion Awards in London which is when I think they were ready to get serious.)

…and made it through lockdown and a cross country road trip and appear to be comfortable with the public interest in their relationship, gossip is waiting to see what that next step for them will be. 

For now, though, she says not yet. If you ask her Navy, lol, they’d probably say they want the album first.
