The biggest event on the Taylor Swift horizon in the coming weeks is the premiere of her docuseries about The Eras Tour, debuting on Disney+ on December 12. Last week ABC announced they’re also airing some kind of special preview also on December 12.

I’m not really sure I understand why there needs to be a preview on the same day that the first two (of six total) episodes will be available but I do understand why the network would want to cash in on the Swift train.

In other Taylor news, the British tabloids are reporting that she was recently in England, at several locations, to shoot a new holiday-themed music video. According to the UK Sun there were extras in “retro dress [who] were spotted exiting [one of the venues], along with festive props including Christmas trees, glitter cannons, and tinsel”. Apparently Lewis Capaldi and Domhnall Gleason will also be involved, having recently met Taylor on Graham Norton. As for the song, no confirmation, obviously, but from what I’ve seen online, people are speculating it’s “Opalite” because it’s the track from The Life of a Showgirl that has the most holiday season sound and vibe? I’d love it if it was “Wood”, lol. Travis Kelce can be the Santa coming down the chimney with his big trunk.

Serving a second single for the album during the holiday season with a video sets up a run, perhaps, at another #1, a Christmas #1. Do people still care about this? Some definitely do – Taylor will never not care about being #1 but, you know, at this time of year, when we talk about hit songs and a certain hit song in particular, there’s another pop superstar who always charts: Mariah Carey and “All I Want for Christmas Is You”.

Anyway, Taylor may have been out of town last week but yesterday she was in Kansas City, watching from the suite as Travis and his team won in overtime to keep their playoff hopes alive. Once again, she was not seen in the tunnel, extending the streak she’s maintained this season with a much lower profile at the games. Here’s Taylor celebrating KC’s win.

She’s repping the team as usual with polo – red and off-white, from Gigi Hadid’s luxury knitwear brand, Guest in Residence. It’s the Alpine Collegiate and, naturally, it’s selling quickly.

I just mentioned Guest in Residence earlier this month because of their collaboration with Bonpoint and the adorable Liberte jacket for kids that I wished came in adult sizes. Taylor’s polo was chosen, probably, for the colour. But it’s not the best polo, in my opinion, from the line. I prefer Cropped Striped Rugby because those browns with the blue in stripes is just so cozy and 70s-coded.

It's expensive because it’s luxury and cashmere but if you do want a cashmere striped option, I wore one recently on ETALK and I’m obsessed with it. Also it’s on sale – the Oversized Cashmere Cropped Sweater Polo at Banana Republic. It’s so soft and the key detail is that it opens up around the shoulders, like a hoodie, but it sits flat across your back.

I’ve also worn this chunkier rainbow striped sweater from Banana Republic, it too is almost half off right now and it also feels a little vintage and 70s.

You can see both of the sweaters in a reel I posted a couple of weeks ago.

I’m a sweater girl, sweaters are all I’ve been wearing on our show lately. And I’ve been getting a lot of questions about where they’re from so I’m here to share.

Since I live with beagles, show me a beagle sweater and I’m going to want it. I wore this beagle sweater from Urban Outfitters twice, because the beagle on the sweater looks like my baby Elvis when he was a puppy.

Basically I’ve worked my way through almost every printed sweater in the Urban Outfitters inventory right now – including this Tea Time cardigan, it is so cute.

Same goes for Anthropologie, and I think you can see a theme emerging. Dogs on sweaters? Yes please. What I liked so much about the Goldie crew-neck is that it’s boxy and cropped and short sleeved.

Boden makes good, durable sweaters and the colours in the Quinn Boyfriend Cardigan are gorgeous, plus dogs

That cardigan, by the way, is basically a varsity cardigan. I f-cking love a varsity cardigan because it’s like wearing a jacket around all day without the weight. I have my eye on the York Varsity Patch by FOUND right now because I’m into the way it slouches.

Coach has one from their Disney collaboration – it’s Pluto and the stripes are really nice on the sleeves.

Just for funsies, though, the most luxurious varsity sweater out there right now might be Valentino’s Le Chien De La Maison Jacquard Wool Jumper. The price is absurd, yes, but it’s a great f-cking sweater.

One of my favourite sweater brands, and I’m always stalking for a sale, is AMI – you know the brand with the ace of hearts. The Pink Alpaca Ami De Coeur Cardigan isn’t technically a varsity cardigan but it definitely reads that way and the pink is so pretty.

But let me end on the best sweater I bought this season. It’s not varsity, it’s not a rugby, it’s just really well-designed. I like a sweater that I can French-tuck, it creates a nice kinda v-shape where the sides of the sweater hang lower around the sides of your body. But with this one, you don’t have to tuck because it’s wrapped, creating its own inverted v-shape below the belly-button. I’ve been dreaming of a sweater like this for years and this is pretty much exactly what I envisioned. The Molly Backen Mock Wrap Cream Cable Sweater looks much more expensive than the price. And it fits beautifully.

I currently have over a dozen more sweaters on my rack right now at work to wear through the end of the month and December. Will do another sweater post soon.
