Multiple mainstream media outlets over the last couple of days have reported that Tom Brady is dating Candice Swanepoel, and hilariously at PEOPLE the only detail they can add to their story is that they both live in Miami so it’s convenient. Tom Brady hooking up with a model? This is not remotely newsworthy. What is newsworthy is that there’s apparently some girl sh-t behind the situation.

For a long time, Candice and Joan Smalls were close friends but that friendship has since been broken – and it’s apparently over Tom Brady. Joan’s been in the comments, pretty much confirming that she’s the Ciara Miller in this story and Candice is Amanda Batula.

And that wasn’t the only comment – Joan basically been passing out flyers in the comment section.

Joan has since deleted them but by now she knows and Candice knows that everyone knows. And DeuxMoi received a tip from someone claiming to know more about what went down.

Basically, Joan was in a situationship with Tom first and Candice was like, hey, this man is a red flag, but after Joan and Tom were over, Candice clearly didn’t have a problem with the red flag herself. Which is likely why Joan is calling her a backstabber and putting her on blast for gaslighting her.

Like I said, this is why the PEOPLE story about Tom and Candice dating is so funny to me – because with this much backstory involving two models and accusations being posted in the comments, their coverage of Tom and Candice, at least three days after it blew up on socials, is stupidly anodyne. The interest point here isn’t that Tom has a new model girlfriend, the interest point is the models who are no longer friends anymore because of him. Him? Fighting over a dude is bad enough. But fighting over a dude who is a total charisma vacuum is that much more embarrassing. Gisele Bündchen told you. Irina Shayk confirmed it. The girls aren’t listening.
