Walton Goggins everywhere
How many weeks in a row is this where we’re getting pap shots of Walton Goggins? Here he is, in what seems to be his favourite grey suit, taking out the trash. You know you’ve reached a new level of fame when the paparazzi are all up in your business when you’re doing mundane household chores.
But as I’ve been saying, Walton Goggins, the actor, is a Celebrity now. And he doesn’t seem to be hating this new status because he is everywhere – yet another magazine photo shoot that he shared on Instagram, this time the Observer, and the spotlight is on his hairline. Which he doesn’t mind talking about because when you’re on a streak this hot, you make anything work for you.
Also attaching shots of Walton that I didn’t get to post last week with other members of The White Lotus season three cast. Natasha Rothwell, Tayme Thapthimthong, Dom Hetrakul, and Jon Gries were there along with Mike White (not pictured). It’s great to see Gaitok and Pornchai getting some play!

As I’ve said over the last couple of weeks, there will be more and more White Lotus events as we get into Emmy campaign season that will involve cast members. So it’ll be interesting to see all those dynamics what with Jason Isaacs putting them all on blast about the interpersonal relationships and speculation about feuds.
Speaking of the Emmys though, The White Lotus is over but The Righteous Gemstones is still airing as the series finale airs this coming weekend, Sunday night and yesterday’s penultimate episode was an epic showcase for all of his, um, cheeks (IYKYK) and the batsh-t energy he brings to Baby Billy. So where the Emmys are concerned, it seems like a sure thing, given The White Lotus’s popularity, that Walton Goggins will be nominated – in the Best Supporting Actor category if the series follows its own tradition of stacking the supporting categories and not going for lead. Imagine the drama though if HBO or his team, building on his recent popularity and ascent to Celebrity, push for a submission for him as lead?
But also, what about his work on The Righteous Gemstones? His performance in The White Lotus– and again, its attendant popularity – is bringing more attention to Gemstones and his character on that show. So there is a world in which he could be nominated for both and of course the bragging rights that come with that. No matter what happens and in which categories and how many, though, one helps the other. That he’s been so front and center in two projects flexing his range makes him a clear frontrunner already.
