I think we could all see it coming. The minute Shakira and Tom Cruise were seen hanging out at the Miami GP this weekend, it was inevitable. But is it possible? Is it already possible?
Page Six is reporting that Tom is “extremely interested in pursuing” Shakira. According to a source, “There is chemistry”.
Who is the source?
My first inclination was that the source was on Tom’s side. But then… the source said this:
“Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,” says our source — adding that Cruise has the benefit of being, “a nice-looking guy, and he is talented.”
The source also cracked, “And she isn’t taller than him.”
Would a Tom Cruise source make a Tom Cruise joke about his height? Like, I would love for Tom to have a sense of humour about his height. Maybe, in private, he’s not all that sensitive about it. But he has been known to wear a stacked heel so he’s conscious of it on some level.
Anyway, this isn’t a post about how tall he is. This is a post about whether or not we’re about to enter the era of the Shaki Cruise. Is Tom Cruise putting on the full court press?! Apparently he sent her flowers which totally tracks. He’s old school that way, and I would buy that Shakira would be open to an old school courtship right now. Doesn’t mean it’s actually happening but if it was, or were, to happen, Tom’s wooing style might just hit at this time in her life, after what she’s been through. What she’s been through, however, may also be a concern.
As we all know, when you’re dating Tom Cruise, he comes with a whole ass church-cult. And his specific church-cult has been accused by many, including Leah Remini, of zeroing in on those who’ve experienced some level of personal frustration/betrayal/dissatisfaction and promising enlightenment. On the one hand the Shaki Cruise is good for gossip. On the other… we don’t want this for Shakira, right?
