A little mess on Broadway: JoJo Levesque was supposed to take over the lead role in Chess after Lea’s run was done, but instead the producers decided to close the show early. Why is Lea Michele always at the scene of the Broadway crime?!

A bunch of acts are pulling out of the Great American State Fair, with artists like Martina McBride and Bret Michaels explaining that the event was misrepresented to them. It’s the Kid Rock halftime “show” all over again.

Gracie Abrams is going on an arena tour and I’m curious to see how this sells, considering that concerts are in a slump across the board. I might be out of the loop here but is a June presale really far off from these dates? The first show is in December.

OK need to bang the drum for The Comeback one more time because Malin Akerman’s cameo was pitch perfect and I had no idea how closely the real-life story mirrored the show. If you haven’t yet, it’s only three seasons.

Vogue loves Cara Delevingne so of course she got a feature on her new album. She’s positioned as a triple threat, model/actor/singer. She certainly is all three but if we are looking at it critically, the acting… it’s a little shaky. When she pops up in a scene it’s like ‘oh there’s Cara Delevingne.”

The Rock is doing a lot more promotion for his skin care line Papatui and apparently sales are way up (it’s the #1 men’s line at Target and also available on Amazon and Walmart, so that’s a big retail footprint). Wouldn’t be surprised if it is scooped up by  a conglomerate like L’Oreal. The promotion really highlights how The Rock cycles through marketing multiple lines as he offloads companies (like the energy drink Zoa; Molson Coors took the majority stake in 2024).

To watch John Travolta step into his Beret Era is very special.
