Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum were photographed a couple of times last week in NYC, leading to speculation that they are not just working together to develop her directorial debut, Pussy Island, but also dating.

Now Page Six has new photos of the two in upstate New York leaving a grocery store with fresh flowers and some household items, including an oven pan and what looks to me like toilet paper.

The toilet paper is what does it, now I’m convinced, LOL. I mean, sure, friends who are sharing a rental together, perhaps on holiday, or even a working trip, can definitely head to the grocery store to stock up on supplies. But between the bike ride last week and the coffee outing and now showing up outside the city, it suggests that they’ve been inseparable. And domestic.

Toilet paper is domestic! And, in its own way, kinda romantic. Because it’s another level of intimacy. Playing house in those early days of a relationship, when everything seems perfect, and you can’t imagine that sharing a space for days on end with the other person could possibly not be perfect, it is its own foreplay, an irresistible spell that also accents like a forcefield, blocking everything else out.

I mean, yeah, this is all kinds of projection. After all, it’s impossible to know anything about them from this vantage point except to say…this is happening, right? 2021 has given us Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum?
