On January 9th I posted this article re comments director David Yates had made about having a role “in his head” for Emma Watson. Yates will direct the film adaptation for my favourite book of 2011, Emma Forrest’s Your Voice In My Head. Click here for my review.

It appears that Yates did indeed have Emma in mind for the part. And negotiations are now underway with Warner Bros. Apparently they’re considering Tom Hanks and George Clooney to play Dr. R.

Jesus, have some imagination.

I know how most of you feel about Emma playing Emma. You don’t think she has the range. I’m not sure she’s given us the opportunity to make that call. How’s this? Let’s see what happens after The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, a lead role away from the Potter franchise. And if you remain unconvinced after that, we can all sh-t on it together.

Here’s Emma tonight in London at a pre-BAFTA event. I don’t normally love a red dress but this one, on her, I can live with. WAY too much makeup though.
