Drew Barrymore is putting out a book of all hearts photography. Like an entire book of pictures of hearts. Page after page of hearts. Apparently she’s been taking pictures of hearts for 10 years. Now she’s curated her heart collection and wants to share the images with you.

What!?

But Taylor Swift totally wanted to do that!

Said Drew of her heart affinity:

“I have always loved hearts. The way that one continuous line accomplishes the most extraordinary thing — it conveys love. Hearts are my beacons. I love them man-made and natural, young and old. Whenever and wherever I see the heart shape, a smile spreads across my face. The heart has an unbeatable romance when you discover one where you least expect it.”

It’s a little eye-rolly, sure. But as far as celebrity branding is concerned, see now this makes more sense to me than Drew Barrymore cooking on daytime television or on the cover of Good Housekeeping as part of the Motherhood Industrial Complex. That’s not to say that I’ll be buying Drew’s book of hearts, because that’s not my jam. My jam is… poo. I love poo. If a poo expert put out a poo book, I would buy that poo book. If your jam is hearts, well, Drew Barrymore knows hearts. Buying her heart book then is totally understandable.
