Emma Watson is in Madrid today promoting Regression with director Alejandro Amenabar. Emma stars with Ethan Hawke and David Thewlis, aka Remus Lupin, and the film may or may not be about a cult. Sarah wrote about the trailer a few weeks ago – click here for a refresher. Regression was originally supposed to be released next week in North America but they’ve pushed that back to December. It’ll still be coming out in Europe in October. They shot the movie just outside of Toronto last year. Which is my segue to talking about Emma being back in Toronto in a couple of weeks for TIFF to screen Colonia. Colonia ended up being on your long list of TIFF votes after Sarah’s call-out earlier this month for you to nominate what she should see when she’s in Toronto covering the festival for the first time. We just worked on her screening blocks last night and right now, Colonia is on her preliminary schedule.

In Colonia, Emma plays a wife for the very first time. She’s married to Daniel Bruhl’s character and has to rescue him when he gets taken in by a Chilean cult. So she’s keeping her roles pretty varied… but not giving up entirely on the light. Emma just wrapped on the live action 3D Beauty And The Beast last week. We have to wait a while for that though – March 2017.

For now, please enjoy this beautiful skirt. From far away it’s hard to appreciate the detail but check it out on close-up, all those colours. I love it.
