Blake Lively and Reynolds showed up for the premiere of John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place in New York last night. A Quiet Place is currently sitting at 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Sarah saw it and will be posting her review soon. This post is about celebrity friendships and the friendship between the Lively-Reynolds and the Blunt-Krasinskis that we’ve seen on display a few times now over the last couple of months. Like I said a couple of weeks ago, I’m waiting for Taylor Swift to join the party.

Am curious about how all this works and how it’s scheduled. Ryan’s next release, for example, is a big one – Deadpool 2 comes in May, just a few days after the Met Gala. Blake is already confirmed to attend the Met Gala and, if I had to predict, I’d say that she’ll be with Michael Kors. And possibly Emily Blunt too since they were both at the Michael Kors presentation during NY Fashion Week. Will that be the next time we see all four of them stepping out together again? And, when it comes time for the Deadpool 2 premiere, if travel schedules and logistics permit, of course, do Emily and John show up for Ryan the way he and Blake have shown up for them?

There was a story in OK! Magazine last week about Blake and Ryan and how they were supposedly drifting apart because of work commitments. No one paid much attention to it because it was OK! Magazine (which, by the way, is owned by American Media Inc, the same company that publishes The National Enquirer, Star Magazine, and the now-disappointing Us Weekly) and because if you’ve done any homework on the image management of both Blake and Ryan, you’d know that they are exactly where they want/need to be right now. Anyway, in case you missed it, here’s how Ryan responded:

His response actually generated more headlines than the original story and to his benefit because, once again, he’s showing how great he is with a quip. And that only amplifies the appeal of how he plays Deadpool.

As for Blake, she’s wearing Chanel here. And I’m undecided about whether or not I like the proportions of this outfit with or without the jacket. Hate the shoe selection too. Not very imaginative.
