Bennifer 2.0 is so over it needs a new word for over (thanks Carrie Bradshaw) but the house hunt continues, and so does the sale of their mega mansion. Rich people problems for sure, but no one wants double-digit millions tied up in a house that expensive. It’s a bad financial decision that mirrors their other questionable decisions.

Now she’s house hunting, again. I don’t care how much money you have, unless you are super into architecture (like BRAD PITT), this kind of shopping does not seem fun. She needs 2024 in the rearview. But one bright spot is that JLO Beauty is still launching product, which is a good sign.

In today’s “we have learned nothing since the early aughts” news, people are heavily speculating about Ariana Grande’s weight and Lindsay Lohan’s face. The reason we haven’t moved past this behavior is because people can now frame their judgement as “concern” trolling. But even if it did come from genuine concern, when has speculating about someone’s health or possible tweaks ever helped? I’m trying to think of a scenario where it would help but I can’t. It’s just shaming, but now the shaming comes with “be kind” Instagram profiles. And the thing is, we can sub out their names for new names last week. Last week it was Gabrielle Union.

As Lainey correctly pointed out in her initial post, Apple Martin understood the assignment at the ball. This is a high-society event and the daughter of a movie star is special, but each person chosen for the event there for a reason. They are raised to feel special, their families are special, their status is special – there are no underdogs at a debutante ball.

The other woman in the video, Aliénor Loppin de Montmort, has gone to PEOPLE to defend Apple, saying Apple was extremely nice to her and everyone else. The people outraged over the video don’t understand the social dynamics of that room.

We’ve talked a lot about celebrity brands this week and someone pointed out Kind Science to me. I legit had no idea this existed – it’s Ellen DeGeneres’s skin care line. OK seriously what is her obsession with “kind”? Like why does she need to be seen as kind so, so badly? Why is she intent on telling people she is kind? The jig is up, pick a new word.

This is a major shopping weekend and I want to take the time to point out that employees don’t own the store. They don’t control how many cashiers are on staff. They don’t set the prices. Which is why this TikTok is forever relevant. I laugh every single time.
