Lukas Gage and celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton had a very splashy wedding officiated by Kim Kardashian, with a performance by Shania Twain. The split came fast, with vague allegations of cheating and messiness. Lukas won’t talk about it, even though you know he is dying to, because of an NDA. Which, of course, just makes it more intriguing.

He also mentioned he plans to marry multiple times and it’s important for a hot person to have goals.

I don’t want to give away any Curb Your Enthusiasm spoilers but it must have been fierce competition for the celebrity guest stars in its final season. The star of the show, Susie Essman, was interviewed by Emma Alpern for Vulture– it’s a great read because she talks about her career and relationship to Larry but she also summarizes what makes this kind of comedy so great: it doesn’t have to make sense. That’s why storylines are dropped from season to season (remember Larry’s spite coffee shop?). If it’s funny, no one cares about continuity.

Mindy Kaling asked for feedback (there should be less feedback on social media!), and I personally like the bra. It’s kind of giving Janet Jackson.

Mark Wahlberg went on the Happy Sad Confused podcast and discussed his experience on The Departed and tried to flex on how much he made Martin Scorsese chase him and how he didn’t want to do the movie and was a pain in the ass about it, including his hair. He sounds like a headache, but I guess Marty had a vision and needed this funky bunch leader. But maybe Mark was grumpy during filming because he was having woman troubles.

Eiza Gonzalez is making headlines for saying she’s been told she’s “too hot” for some roles, which is a complaint some actresses like Jessica Biel had in the early aughts. But the context of Eiza’s comments is important: in her lived experience, Latinas are oversexualized in the industry, from casting to roles. She’s not saying she’s more beautiful, she’s saying that her appearance is more sexualized than other beautiful women, like Margot Robbie.

It’s impossible to keep up with all the TV, we know this. Between reality TV, prestige TV and comfort TV it’s a lot. But, try not to let One Day pass you by. I loved the book but the movie was incredibly dull. The Netflix show does the book justice in every way. These two!
