I wrote about Meghan Markle’s new show but wanted to highlight an interesting observation I received from a reader, C. She noted that the pasta recipe made by Meghan in the first episode seemed very familiar and there is a reason for that – it is a well-known Martha Stewart recipe that has been republished on Food52.
One-pot pasta isn’t revolutionary, right? OK, but C did the work and found the recipe on Martha Stewart’s website and if you look, it was updated in February 2025. It has a subhead: “The original and the best!” So, knowing that we know Martha can be petty and that she has connections at Netflix – coincidence or conspiracy? All the credit to the reader, this is some gossip detective work!
Could a new nepo baby be ready to drop? Kimberly Stewart and Benicio Del Toro’s daughter got a write-up in PEOPLE Magazine, seemingly for no reason. Considering they are fairly private about her, this kind of pinged my interest.
Running Point is already renewed, no surprise. I think it’s #1 worldwide this week.
Is Monopoly the hot new IP? Ryan Reynolds is working on a film adaption and there’s a game show in the works. The host will depend on the network but you know Ryan Seacrest is polishing his monocle in anticipation.
We – I – talk a lot about how childhood actors are doing a job that is dangerous to their development. But reading Christina Ricci’s comments about how the film industry saved her from her home life and how comfortable the camera made her is a totally different perspective.
She is receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today.
I really liked this interview series with Natasha Rothwell and Jon Gries (don’t you touch a hair on her head, Greg/Gary!). And honestly, I have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to TikTok so I totally forgot that Natasha is adapting Who TF Did I Marry. Bring it on.
The final season of The Righteous Gemstones is about to premiere and now they are batting around the idea of a live travelling show, which probably won’t happen because of scheduling, but a Broadway adaption would work really well.
