We’re doing this whole thing again. Fine, I kind of like the bonnet. But slides. Can we talk about slides on Wednesday in As Seen on Social Media?
I have many thoughts and feelings.
If TikTok ever produces a feature film, Francesca Scorsese should direct it. I’m half joking but it could happen – media companies want to go viral and social media companies want to be media.

Add another lob to the list! Short hair is dominating this spring and for the actresses who have worn a lot of extensions on set or off, imagine how good this must feel. So light and easy to manage.
So you know when a person looks at a piece of modern art and says, “oh it’s a red dot on a white canvas – I could do that!” Or someone who sneers about chicklit and says they could write a better book than Colleen Hoover. To those people I say, “But ya didn’t.” That’s how I feel about Brad Goreski’s work with Demi Moore – yes she’s movie star beautiful and thin and has gorgeous hair, yes yes yes. But that doesn’t take away from the incredible choices they make, over and over again. If it was easy, every single actress would kill it on the red carpet every time. But we know they don’t.
Demi and Brad are pulling out couture Schiaparelli but she’s also wearing great black flats with a bustier dress (instead of a sparkly sandal). Or picking the most interesting Gucci dress in a sea of celebrities wearing Gucci. It looks easy but it’s a talent.
So far Zac Posen for the Gap has been magnificent! Da’Vine Joy Randolph at the MET Gala and now this. Mothers are mothering, as the kids say. Zac is a very thoughtful designer and while celebrities loved him, his line never quite hit the shelves in a way that captured a wide retail audience. That could obviously all change now with the far-and-wide reach of the Gap. Who’s next in a Zac creation? My guess is Katie Holmes as they’ve had a long relationship.
There are two sides to the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud: those who understand it and get hyped up examining the nuances and intricacies of a scathing diss track, and those who are trying to absorb all of information. I’m definitely in the “Holy cow!” camp but I’m enjoying it all the same.
