Dear Gossips,

Are you watching HBO’s The Outsider? In Canada it airs on Crave. I mean, some of you must be because the show has been steadily climbing in ratings, it’s legitimately a hit. And critically acclaimed. But as Anne Helen Petersen tweeted the other day:

So why aren’t people talking about it more? I’m watching every week and, admittedly, I’m not talking about it that much, at least not on my own website, but that’s because I’m also hosting a show, produced by Kathleen, called Cravings: The Aftershow on Crave ON DEMAND recapping and analysing every episode right after it airs, and I didn’t want to be too self-promotional, which is a weird thing to say because I’m thirsty AF.

Anyway, The Outsider season finale airs on Sunday and… well… I won’t spoil it but watch, watch to the very, very end. And then watch Cravings: The Aftershow or listen to our podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts as Teddy Wilson and I freak out together over what happens. And if you haven’t yet started watching The Outsider, please consider starting because, as mentioned, it’s one of the best Stephen King adaptions, if not the best Stephen King adaptation featuring an already all-time great character, Holly Gibney, played by the astonishing Cynthia Erivo. Seriously, her range. The range she’s shown us these last few years is ridiculous. In this role, she’s contained and complicated and still accessible. I don’t f-ck with scary/horror/thriller movies and shows but she’s the reason I’m with it, because she’s just that good and it’s not every day that you get to witness a character come alive like this.

We’ll talk about The Outsider some more next week after, you know. Or you will know. Send me your thoughts!

Have a great weekend!

Yours in gossip,

PS….thank you for your patience while we sorted out the winner of our annual Red Carpet Contest.  The winner by tiebreak was Megan S of Calgary who got an incredible 23/24 correct (and got her entry in the earliest). Congrats Megan and thank you all for participating.
