The first trailer for TOO MUCH has dropped and builds an entire story in two minutes - the “Any day” line at the end cracked me up.

Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney went pretty method when promoting Anyone But You, even though that heat didn’t translate to the film. I forgot that Glen had a girlfriend at the time and Gigi Paris popped up to remind us what went down. She doesn’t mention Glen or Sydney by name but the situation is obvious: she says he said it was just work, she felt he was making a fool out of her (which is understandable, Glen and Sydney were really laying it on thick). As the non-celebrity in the mix, Gigi doesn’t have much of a voice so I can see why she would feel compelled to air him out a bit.

This post reminded me that Kate Hudson has been engaged forever? Ok since 2021, and they were together five years before that. Not that they need to get married, look at her parents.

Lainey wrote about Hamilton yesterday and as a distant observer, what is the cultural impact of this show? For a long time it was the hottest ticket on Broadway, then the Lin Manuel-Miranda “it’s cringe” backlash came and went, and now it’s a staple, kind of like The Lion King. That’s my non-expert assessment.

What drew me to this story was the Anthony Ramos angle, the Broadway gossip angle. It’s a shame that we only get the whispers, because can you imagine how much inside baseball there is in professional theatre? But it’s a very insular ecosystem.

Is this a safe space? Dakota Johnson’s acting is a little flat for me. Reviews for Materialists are trickling in and it’s a mixed bag, with a fairly high score on Rotten Tomatoes. Anyway, I want to talk about Dakota’s side hustle, sexual wellness company Maude. She was promoting it for a while, but seems to have removed it from her Instagram (though the brand’s Instagram still has her pinned up top). I don’t know what her involvement is but if you are a celebrity investor, it’s not about the money you put in but the exposure you bring it. Dakota is not someone who does the hard sell; on talk shows, she’s droll and a little detached. That’s very cool for an actor but not great for an entrepreneur.
