Gigi Hadid was also, like Sydney Sweeney, at the Miu Miu show in Paris today in all leather and a fuzzy white hat with glasses. She also stepped out last night in a khaki trench in which she looks very tall, because she is tall – at least to me. Gigi is listed at 1.8m or 5 ft 9 and I always forget because her name is so cute. But when I was reading her new Vogue cover feature, just released today, her height is mentioned a few times and then I remembered… legs for days.

Anyway, the interview is insightful, her most revealing in a long time, just as she’s about to turn 30. And they did a whole thing with her playing different characters and doing an homage to Hairspray

By the way, in the article, it’s mentioned that she’s into musicals and dreams of being in musical theatre one day. And before you roll your eyes, though I get why you might want to, we all met her as one of the first Instagram models but what few people remember is that before she became famous, Gigi was in college, trying out all kinds of different possibilities as an undergrad. At one point she considered getting into volleyball; she also studied criminal psychology. Volleyball and CSI are never going to happen now but, you know, acting possibly probably will?

Her boyfriend is an actor director – and she doesn’t go into much detail about her relationship with Bradley Cooper but she does say what they have is “romantic and happy”. She also says that she and Zayn Malik are in a really great place as co-parents right now.

What else happened today…

Kayleigh Donaldson has written a thoughtful piece about the death of Gene Hackman and, basically, how gross the reaction has been in all levels of media, legacy and social. There can be insightful conversations to be had about the circumstances of his and his wife Betsy Arakawa’s passing. None of that is happening. (Pajiba)

One of those conversations can be elderly care and the experience of caregivers. Because the fact is, there’s a whole generation of us who are dealing with aging parents and it can be a frightening, confusing, frustrating, and lonely time. Emma Heming Willis, wife of Bruce, is one of the few addressing this. (People)

The Fug Girls are not into Gemma Chan’s “sack” look. The sack look, however, is my preference so, obviously, I love it. And I will defend it. This is about layers and construction and Comme des Garçons influence! (Go Fug Yourself)

Taylor Swift has been underground for over a month now, since the Super Bowl. She and Travis Kelce popped up in Park City, Utah. This is barely a sighting though, you can’t see her face. (Celebitchy)

Over at our Substack, there’s a regular thread on our daily chat called “Jock Squawk”. This is for the jock squawkers – The Ringer’s list of the 100 Best Sports Moments of the Quarter Century. I can’t f-cking wait to dig into this. (The Ringer)
