Renee Zellweger goes Tom Cruise-style underground when she wants to. We haven’t seen her in ages!
Emma Grede is making the Girl Boss 2.0 rounds and I found this Oprah clip. Failure in business is inevitable and men fail up so often because they don’t take it personally or tie that failure to their worth. It got me thinking about how I analyze celebrity business ventures and I naturally focus much more on women-owned businesses, just because I’m more interested in them. I find entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow more interesting than entrepreneur Kevin Hart. But my attention also includes criticism and I don’t apply that same lens to men. I’m not tracking Mark Wahlberg’s businesses because I don’t find him to be a compelling celebrity. I do wonder if this is a “me” problem or a systemic problem, and if male celebrities benefitting with a lot of fluff PR and no real analysis of their business practices.
This is an interesting first for Bravo, someone has leaked audio from the Summer House reunion that was filmed this week. Bravo films multiple reunions a year and while there are media and blog leaks, I don’t think there’s ever been an actual recording. This is a set with a highly professional crew, many of whom have worked these reunions for years. I very much doubt it was a crew member (particularly as the audio sounds recorded, but not by mics). It could be a cast member but if so, that’s a bananas form of self-sabotage. It’s not like the audio revealed something that would be cut, like a big production secret. It was a verbal spar that probably would have made it into the final edit. I can’t figure out why anyone would do this?
I need Boston’s number one boy, Ben Affleck to weigh in on the Patriots scandal STAT. Tell me, who knows more about messy affairs and the Patriots? Ben has been training his whole adult life for this moment.
Maybe Mike Vrabel got confused about what type of cheating helps the Patriots win Super Bowls

I guess there’s an “apologize to Hailey Bieber” trend happening because people saw the way Hailey and Justin interacted at Coachella and now believe their marriage is real (Lainey wrote more about it here). What’s gross about this micro-trend is that some people only think she deserves an apology as it pertains to her marriage, as if that’s the litmus test for deciding whether or not she’s worth treating like a human.
The most anticipated Yellowstone spinoff is Dutton Ranch because fans love Beth and Rip; it was first reported by Puck. The showrunner Chad Feehan (who is also credited as a show creator) has “exited” three weeks before the premiere, which is usually a really bad sign but probably not a death knell for a Taylor Sheridan production. Taylor Inc. has tight control over its many sets, so I don’t know if their showrunners have any real power or if they are just there to grind the meat for the sausage. Season 4 of Tulsa King (another Taylor Sheridan production) didn’t even have a showrunner.
