The press tour for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One kicked off earlier this week with the world premiere in Rome. Yesterday, the crew was in London for the UK premiere.

This is the second summer Tom Cruise has rocked that tousled hair on a press tour, and this is the second summer in which I do not like it. If the goal is to make him look younger, it is not working.

Meanwhile, the ladies of M:I are looking good. Rebecca Ferguson turned up in a white Vivienne Westwood gown that is only slightly overworked...

I’m not sure who designed Pom Klementieff’s mini-dress, but, like Tom Cruise’s haircut, it’s not working.

Do you think they planned the achromatic color scheme among the supporting cast?

Dead Reckoning isn’t due in theaters until July 12, but Cruise & Co. look pretty smart for holding their premieres a little early, before the June 30 SAG-AFTRA strike deadline. Even with consistent reports that an extension might be coming, if the actors strike, that will stop all business, including premieres. Ever since Lainey mentioned it, I have been worried about not getting a Barbie premiere in July. It’s not the most important thing and I want the actors—and writers and directors—to get the best deal possible, but I also want to see those fits! So, while Cruise and the M:I team were smart to plan their press tour this way, these are not the red carpets I am looking for.
