As mentioned earlier, Taylor Swift went out for dinner with Sophie Turner last night in New York after Sophie filed a lawsuit against Joe Jonas. Taylor is a supporting character in that story. She does, however, have her own story in development which is whatever is or isn’t happening between her and Travis Kelce. 

 

There’s been speculation about their possible situationship for a couple of weeks now. Earlier this week his brother, Jason, went on a radio show and said that “I believe it’s 100% true” when asked about the Taylor and Travis rumours. He was joking… but it obviously only added fuel to the whole thing. 

And now Travis himself is keeping it going. On yesterday’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Travis acknowledged the headlines that he’s been making lately:

“It's hilarious how much traction this has actually got. I think it's, right now, it's like that old game in school called 'Telephone,' where everybody is just whispering in each other's ear, just hearing some random stuff."

 

OK… but is it totally random or is there something to it? This is where Travis got as specific as he’s been about Taylor: 

"I threw the ball in her court and, you know, I told her, 'I've seen you rock the stage at Arrowhead. You might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead and see which one's a little more lit. So we'll see what happens in the near future."

Travis Kelce is a two-time Super Bowl champion. In his world, he’s about as big of a deal as it gets. Taylor Swift, however, is on a whole other level of fame, can we agree on this? So if there’s a conversation here about clout, it would be Travis clout-chasing and not the other way around. I say this because on the one hand, I’m not sure how all this clout-chasing is going down with Taylor. 

On the other hand… 

 

She’s being very publicly pursued by a two-time Super Bowl champion who is really popular with NFL fans known for his big personality, so big he’s hosted Saturday Night Live. And this is coming off a short-lived romantic controversy with Matty Healy. Which came off a six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn, who may not have been demonstrative enough that they were together.

Even if it’s not true, even if she’s not interested, she’s probably not minding this attention. Taylor loves this for Taylor. 

And I love Taylor in these trousers! These pants fit her perfectly.
