I see you, you know. I see you’ve fully embraced Oscar Isaac into your life, talking about him with your friends like he’s been yours all along…FOR THE LAST MONTH. I see you turning him into a CumberGosling. You can deny it but I see you because I SAW HIM FIRST. And I have no f-cks to give about how annoying that’s becoming because when he was announced last night… …and then WON last night for his outstanding work in Show Me A Hero, and then after winked at Mark Ruffalo (Sweet God SWEET GODDDDD)… …Twitter jizzed all over itself. Full Story

Haven’t seen too much of Oscar Isaac on the Star Wars: The Force Awakens press tour as Daisy Ridley and John Boyega have been front and centre so far and we’ve seen Lupita out there too. But with so many foreign markets, and with the foreign markets so important to the box office, they’ve split up the promotional destinations. Full Story

On Friday at Comic-Con, JJ Abrams took the stage along with LucasFilm chief Kathleen Kennedy and screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and proceeded to blow the doors off the place. As promised, they did not show new footage, not exactly. Instead Abrams had a sizzle reel that had 6,500 hundred nerds weeping and screaming. Full Story

A stripped-down, more sinister companion piece to Her, Alex Garland’s Ex Machina is a stellar piece of science fiction. Oscar Isaac covers the new issue of Details, in advance of his new movie Ex Machina, and oh my god, LOOK AT HIS MAGNIFICENT HAIR. Why have I never noticed this before? Perhaps it’s the length, and/or the fact that it isn’t shellacked to his head. Full Story

One of the most intriguing movies coming up is Ex Machina, the directorial debut of sci-fi writer Alex Garland, who has written some of the better sci-fi movies of the last fifteen years, including Sunshine and Never Let Me Go.
