Harry & Meghan this weekend

Princess Diana was born on July 1. In Canada we would call her a Canada Day baby. (Shout out to the legend Marilyn Denis, also a Canada Day baby!) This year marks the 20th anniversary of Diana’s passing. Princes William and Harry will be at Althorp tomorrow for a private rededication ceremony to remember her. It will no doubt be an emotional day and the beginning of what will likely be an emotional few weeks as they approach August 31.

Meghan Markle has been in London since early this week, staying with Harry at Kensington Palace. And while she is not expected to join Harry and his family tomorrow, the fact that she’s there, on this weekend in particular, is giving royal-watchers more reason to believe that it will only be a matter of time. According to E! News, Harry and Meghan have been “total homebodies” the last few days, staying in, cooking, and watching movies. Like Moana. Since it’s a long weekend here in Canada, Meghan’s not expected back at work on Suits until at least mid-next week. You know how William proposed to Kate with his mother’s ring? What are the chances that Harry would propose to Meghan on his mother’s birthday?

Here he is last night, with the Queen, at the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards Dinner. She seems pretty pleased with him. Another very good sign.
