There’s a debate brewing over this story on Eater, “Stop Looking at Restaurant Menus Ahead of Time.” I vehemently disagree with the sentiment: I don’t pick what I’m having when I look it up online, but I like to get a general feel for flavours and plan the rest of the meals for the day (or even a few days beforehand) around that. Life is full of surprises, I don’t need a spoiler alert on a restaurant menu. (I was looking for food pictures but decided instead to go with Gordon Ramsay’s baby getting his first haircut.)
Typically, Tom Ford officially dresses just one woman per red carpet, and this year for the Emmys he chose Jodi Comer and she won. Lainey wrote about it yesterday, not loving the fit, and further to her point I do think Jodi’s choices are a deliberate departure from Villanelle. In an interview with British Vogue, she said that she wouldn’t even try on most of the clothes her character wears. Oh and one man was dressed in a Tom Ford tux – Jon Hamm. Can’t really go wrong there.
