Birdie has been a star of Jennifer Garner’s cooking videos. We will miss her.

Ben Affleck, complicated horn dog.

Katy Perry has been involved in some odd lawsuits, particularly over real estate (remember the convent?) but her latest victory is about her trademark. She won a case against a designer named Katie Perry and the headlines have been pretty misleading, implying that Katy went after the “little guy.” The details are a lot more nuanced. Katy Perry was already well established as an entertainer and Katie wanted the trademark - she is the one who initiated the lawsuit. In 2009, Katy’s team even reached out to Katie to create co-existing terms, which the latter refused. But the headlines are painting a very different picture and I think part of the reason is because Katy’s pop culture capital is pretty low right now and outlets feel safe taking shots at her.

After a spectacular fail with the Disney board, Nelson Peltz turned his attention to American politics. He has taken credit for re-introducing Elon Musk to Donald Trump and I wonder if the long game here is trying to find ways politically punish the Disney board for, to quote Sarah, handing Nelson Peltz his ass.

The Peltz-Beckhams spent the holiday together - I’m a hot sauce freak, and even I wouldn’t put it on turkey but a hustle is a hustle. And I wonder who decided to filter these photos so harshly - look at the second one in the carousel. They yassified an 82-year-old man.

Forget fighting over Billboard’s pop star list - the Vanity Fair list of best romcoms. I mean there’s just no way to come to a consensus on this but I do agree with number one. No one did it better than Meg.

This is a very specific question: is the tag on the sleeve of a wool coat supposed to be removed? So many people in Vancouver have this Babaton jacket so I’ve seen it both ways. Sabrina Carpenter kept the tag. I think it should be snipped off. But is there a definitive answer? (Lainey: Thom Browne’s signature is the very visible tag, and I don’t think anyone cuts those off.)
